Portrait pastel demonstration.

Thanks to my students filming me, I was able to make a quick video of this pastel demonstration during the course at Feytiat during the annual pastel festival.

I used a sheet of bright pink tinted pastelmat, this is a new colour for me and I was curious to try it out. Our model, J.J. posed in a beach chair. I wanted to create a colourful pastel using complementary greens on top of the pink card.

I really enjoyed this course with such a lively group of students, interested and interesting. I felt that we took risks and accomplished some serious work.
