Pastel art course in October

Art course with professional artist Penelope Milner

15 OCTOBRE to the 18 of OCTOBRE 2026.

The convent of Vaylats is in the middle of the Parc régional Causses du Quercy, in a peaceful countryside surrounded by nature.

Professional figurative artist, Penelope Milner has been painting and teaching for forty years. She has been awarded the title of ‘Maitre Pastelliste by the French Pastel Society.

” I love teaching and sharing my experience of the artistic process. I am convinced that I can help to guide you towards improving your pastel work with tips on composition, and colour mixing.

We’ll be working from life when possible, tackling a range of subjects including still life, landscape and figure. If you’re not used to drawing from life this is a very rewarding process and I’m here to help you pick up the basic techniques of drawing. Any one who is open to learning is welcome on my courses..”

Although I am English, teaching will be mainly in French, so some knowledge of the language is recommended.

Teaching : 385€ for four days. 9h30-12h30 14h30-17h30.

Full board and lodgings at the Convent for four days and nights: 387€/stagiaire hors taxe de séjour.
