Goujoun’art, 5th biannual art event

This year I am among the nine artists invited to exhibit my work in the 5th biannual art event of ‘Goujoun’art’, from the 2nd until the 10th of June. During this popular art event, the village of Goujounac in the west of the department, opens both public and private spaces, transforming them into galleries.

This year the sculpter; Michel Zachariou

and the painter Gilles Sacksick are guests of honour

Goujoun'art
Goujoun’art, 5 ieme biennale.

The aim of the Goujoun’Art is to stimulate artistic activity for adults and children. Numerous workshops will be taking place, including a watercolour course run by Jean Luc Decron; Theatre events and concerts are also on the programme . Have a look at the Goujoun’art website if you would like more information.

I will be doing a pastel demonstration in the courtyard next to my exhibition in the centre of the village on Sunday morning the third of May, from 10h, working from a model. Please do come and watch.     Among the pastels I will be showing at Goujoun’art, 5th biannual art event, are several new pieces in a series entitled ‘States of Mind’. In these works I have mixed pastel with collage, ink and other water-based paints, to add texture and to break up the surface. It is not the people themselves that I see as the subjects of these works, but rather the atmosphere that surrounds them, using colour in order to emphasise a particular emotional state.
