Breakfast in Marrakech

It’s difficult to draw people in the streets of Marrakech, but I managed to make studies for this one from a fair distance, sitting at a café. The Stand in the picture was selling tea and bread to the locals who stopped by for their breakfast. The final pastel was completed in the studio on my return, using pastels as well as pigments bought in the morrocan souk and sand from the desert.
