A new Exhibition space has opened in a church in Luzech; the Chapelle des Penitents

I will have the pleasure of showing my pastels there from the 3rd to the 8th of September, along with certain of my Pastellist friends: Sophie Amauger (maître pastelliste), Peter Thomas (maître pastelliste), Hilary hoyland, Karina knight Spencer, Frédérique le Coadou.

Our aim is to promote the technique of Pastel painting by presenting our various styles and techniques..

On Sunday, the 4th of September, in collaboration with the association ‘Lesquisse’, there will be a day of events.

Didier Boinnard, the founder of ‘ Artisan pastellier will be showing his methords of pastel fabrication and the pigments used.

During the course of the afternoon, I will give a demonstration to the public and answer questions relating to my working methords.

Peter Thomas, will also be giving a demonstration of pastel landscape painting.

If the weather is kind, there will be artists working along the river and around the chapel painting ‘En plein air’ A great occassion to come and watch or to join in yourself!

A pastel workshop for children is planned: details to be confirmed.
